Owen and Sally Garnos live along the banks of Medicine Creek about 2 miles East of Presho, South Dakota. They have carried on the family tradition of farming and ranching near the original homestead that Gwen's grandfather, Nels Garnos, filed on in 1890.
In 1976 Owen and Sally built a new home overlooking the old homestead land and the new Medicine Creek Golf Course. Owen and Sally have three children; Gretchen (Morgan) Hullinger of Sioux Falls, SD, Quint (Cheyenne) Garnos of Presho, and Cooper (Mary Jo) Garnos of Presho. All three children and the 10 grandchildren are involved in some capacity on the farm and ranch. For the past 25+ years, Garnos Ranch has also had commercial hunting on its land and is involved in a ranch Bed and Breakfast. The farm and ranch continues to diversify and move forward as we continue into the 21st Century.
